At Playa Parlama, we've been putting the Shabby in Shabby Chic since before it was en vogue. We have no hipsters, just long-haired hippy freaks in glasses who are totally unaware fashion has circled around to include them once again. We have no yoginis, just some folks with their own take on life who like to have real conversations. We have no Italian chefs, just some guys who firmly believe all recipes can be improved with bacon grease. We have no bartenders, just some fellows who firmly believes you should have a cold glass in your hand.
Encounter yourself with:
- Freshly caught and cooked sea food, homemade yogurt and ice-cream, local fruits, coconut water right out of it’s original container and much more in our beachfront bar and restaurant.
- Volcanic sand beach - betcha haven’t seen a sand color like this.
- Surfing - if you dare it! Hammocks - if you think you can bare it!
- Authentic countryside life with all it’s advantages - occasionally trespassing pigs and chickens, fruits&goods bought from a bike passing by (you never know what’s on today's menu).
- Wildlife. We don’t know how many different iguana shapes and sizes live here. What we do know - there are a lot of them. If you’re a iguana hostel building expert - you’re more than welcome to try your skills here. If iguanas are not your kind of people - who knows, maybe one of the mornings you’ll (without even leaving your bed) see the dolphins playing in the waves or whales - doing what they do... Which is... Well, next time we see them - we will ask...
